Written by Ali Sedighi, MBALast updated:

Roofer.Team is a recruiting-marketing and business consulting service built for one kind of company: roofing contractors in Canada who need more good people on their crews. We plan and run the marketing that gets roofers, labourers, foremen and apprentices to apply. We don't install or repair roofs, we don't employ or place workers, and we don't charge job seekers anything.

The company

Roofer.Team is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies. It is a Canadian business, headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and it serves roofing companies across all 10 provinces and 3 territories.

Two companies sit behind it:

  • Sedighi.ca is the growth, marketing and technology consultancy Ali Sedighi runs. Trades.Agency, which delivers our plans, is one of its brands, alongside HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca.
  • SAZ.ca (short for Strategy & Acceleration Zone) is Ali's Canadian firm for strategy, AI and revenue acceleration. He founded it and serves as its Founder & Managing Partner.

Roofer.Team plans are delivered through Trades.Agency, the group's marketing agency for trades and home-service businesses. That gives you one team for hiring marketing now and customer marketing later, if you want it.

Ali Sedighi, MBA

Ali Sedighi leads Roofer.Team. His degree is an MBA in Technology Management, and his marketing career runs 17+ years, back to 2007, the year he started ONE.ir as a full-service digital marketing agency. He now lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Since then he has started Conv.ca, an agency focused on conversion-rate optimisation, and MyAutomation.ca. He has built 150+ live HVAC websites, including CombiBoiler.ca, GasBoilers.ca and HeatLand.ca, and has worked with clients in Canada, the USA and Dubai.

Why that background matters for recruiting: a careers page, a job ad and an applicant text flow are conversion problems. The same discipline that turns a homeowner into a booked call turns a roofer into an applicant who shows up. Ali's work has been about measuring that path step by step and fixing the weakest link first.

How we work

We work in a way that suits busy roofing owners:

  1. One conversation first. You describe the empty seats, your season and what you have tried. A free 30-minute consultation is available for eligible trades businesses.
  2. A written plan. Roles, channels, the hiring pages needed, the reply flow and the monthly fee, before anything starts.
  3. Your approval on every word. Nothing about pay, benefits, safety or legal terms goes out unless it came from you.
  4. Monthly numbers you can check. Applicants, replies, screenings, interviews and two-week retention, by role and by source.
  5. Month-to-month terms. Plans can be cancelled with 30 days' notice. The pricing page has the details.

You own your website pages, your ad accounts and your applicant list. If you leave, they stay with you.

Our position, stated plainly

Roofer.Team is a digital marketing and business consulting service for roofing and other trades businesses in Canada. Nobody here works on roofs: we are not a contractor, and we never install, repair or service anything. We are also not a staffing agency, recruiter or employer of record.

We stay out of areas that belong to licensed professionals and regulators:

  • Pay. We don't publish wage figures or advise on what to pay.
  • Employment law and HR. We don't give legal or HR advice. Job-posting rules and employment standards are provincial; we tell you to confirm them at the source.
  • Safety. Fall protection and other safety training are set and enforced provincially. We link the official bodies on each region page and feature only the training you actually provide.

What we believe about hiring roofers

Good roofers are not hard to find because they don't exist. They are hard to find because most job ads say nothing, most companies reply slowly, and most new hires discover on day two that the job was not what the ad suggested. Every one of those is fixable with honest marketing. Our guides explain the methods openly, whether or not you ever hire us, and the results page shows what our HVAC work proved about the method.
